A 5-year music education REQUIREMENT was imposed on them

During meetings with relevant higher education institutions admitting students for the mugham singing and national vocal fields of the vocal art specialty, discussions were held regarding the requirement of an educational document on music education for admission to the higher education level in these specialties, and the necessity of 5 years of music education for admission to the bachelor's level of higher education was stated.

Aztəhsil.az reports that the State Examination Center (SEC) has released information on this matter.
It was stated that, according to the adopted decision, starting from the 2027/2028 academic year, during the registration of applicants for admission to higher education institutions in the mugham singing and national vocal fields of the vocal art specialty, a music education document of at least 5 years will be required.
We would like to note that this year, i.e., in the 2026/2027 academic year, admission to higher education institutions in the mugham singing and national vocal fields of the vocal art specialty will be carried out without an educational document on music education, as in previous years.  
This decision does not apply to the admission conditions for the vocal art specialty in secondary specialized education institutions.
