A festive event was held at Lankaran State University (LSU) on the occasion of March 8 – International Women's Day. The festive greetings from the Rector of LSU, Professor Natig Ibrahimov, to the female staff and students of the university and the Social and Agro-Technological College under LSU were presented by Ramiz Shammadov, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs of LSU.
Aztəhsil.az reports that the greetings included an excursion into the history of March 8 International Women's Day, discussed the increasing role of Azerbaijani women in the country's socio-political life, noted the significant contribution of female staff working at Lankaran State University to the university's achievements, expressed gratitude to them, and conveyed warm holiday wishes.
It should be noted that on the occasion of March 8 Women's Day, monetary awards were given to all female employees working at LSU.
