The “Digital Heritage” platform for Western Azerbaijan monuments will be created.

A memorandum of cooperation envisaging the implementation of joint projects between Baku Slavic University (BSU) and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has been signed.

It was reported from BSU to Aztəhsil.az that during the meeting held on this occasion, the parties discussed projects that could be jointly implemented. Within the framework of cooperation, the creation of the “Digital Heritage” platform for monuments of Western Azerbaijan has been identified as the main goal.

Rector of ASOIU, Rufat Azizov, provided information about the history, areas of activity, current state of the educational process, and international relations of the higher education institution. He emphasized that the main goal of the university is to transform into a research university.

BSU Rector Anar Naghiyev, in turn, spoke about the development directions of the higher education institution he leads. It was stated that expanding research in linguistics and becoming a center for language learning is among the university's priority strategic goals. At the same time, it was emphasized that personnel training in psychology and socio-psychological services in education is carried out at BSU, and teaching in these specialties is also organized in SABAH groups.

Subsequently, Ahmad Ahmadzade, Head of ASOIU's Startup and Technology Transfer Office, delivered a presentation on the activity directions of the innovation center, and the development of the innovation ecosystem and cooperation prospects in this area were discussed.

Finally, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the parties. Within the framework of the meeting, the BSU delegation visited ASOIU's History and Mineralogy museums, as well as the Library Information Center, familiarizing themselves with the university's research infrastructure and innovation capabilities.
