For schoolchildren “Let Our Voices Unite” titled I Choir Festival is starting - ANNOUNCEMENT

The I Choir Festival titled “Let Our Voices Unite” for schoolchildren is launched, organized by the "Culture Volunteers" Public Union within the framework of the grant competition “Support for Public Initiatives in Science and Education” implemented by the Ministry of Science and Education. 

The main goal of the festival is the development of choir culture among students, the promotion of national musical values, and the formation of collective performance skills. 

The project covers state general education institutions located in Baku city and the regions. 

Within the framework of the project, preliminary informative sessions and trainings will be held for music teachers of registered state general education institutions on organizing choir lessons with students. Subsequently, choir lessons and collective performance rehearsals will be organized in state general education schools by teachers who participated in the trainings, and choir collectives consisting of students will also be formed. Teachers who form choir collectives will then be able to participate in the festival.

Choir collectives will cover the following age groups:

* 7–10 years old
* 11–14 years old
* 15–18 years old

10 choir collectives that successfully complete the two-stage selection round of the festival will perform on stage and be awarded at the Gala concert to be held at the end of the project.

It should be noted that within the framework of the festival, 5–7 minute video materials covering the rules for conducting choir lessons will be prepared and presented. These training and video materials aim to support a more systematic and high-quality organization of choir activities in schools.
