The next stage in the implementation of the “TəhsilPlus” card, prepared in cooperation with the Education Development Fund, “Kapital Bank” and “Mastercard” company, has been launched.
Aztəhsil.az reports that at the event held on March 4, titled “TəhsilPlus card: new opportunities for education workers”, cooperation documents envisaging the presentation of the card to education workers at all levels of education were signed with three state institutions.
The event was held with the participation of heads of state institutions, representatives of partner organizations, and media representatives.
Nicat Məmmədli, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, speaking with an opening speech, stated that the Fund bases its activities on the principles of expanding public-private partnerships, promoting innovative projects, and continuously supporting educational institutions.
According to him, the launch of the “TəhsilPlus” card after the “TələbəPlus” card is a continuation of this strategy and offers a unified, multifunctional solution for education workers.
At the event, Kanan Karimzade, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, stated that the main goal of the reforms carried out in the education system is to strengthen the social welfare and professional motivation of teachers.
He stated that the “TəhsilPlus” project will unite hundreds of thousands of education workers across the country around a single multifunctional platform, expanding their social security opportunities, and providing additional benefits and advantages.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that this initiative is a real expression of the importance given to the human factor in education policy.
Farid Hidayatzade, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Chief Corporate Sales Officer of “Kapital Bank”, spoke about the importance of the project in his speech. He noted that a unified, multifunctional, and long-term solution has been created for thousands of education workers with the “TəhsilPlus” card. The offered benefits, bonus opportunities, and partner network will make a real contribution to their daily lives. One of the important aspects of this project is that it is built on a public-private partnership model. We believe that sustainable development is only possible through joint cooperation.
Engin Yaşar, Vice President for Business Development at “Mastercard”, emphasized the importance of innovation developing in parallel with inclusivity. He stated that the “TəhsilPlus” card is a clear example of how digital technologies empower education workers with secure, multifunctional, and future-oriented solutions, creating a real and lasting impact.
Engin Yaşar noted that they continue to support financial inclusivity and expand access to modern payment ecosystems through strong partnerships in Azerbaijan.
Following the official speeches, a promotional video for the “TəhsilPlus” card was shown. The video showcased the card's design, functionality, the benefits and bonus opportunities offered through the partner network, as well as discounts applied within the “Mastercard Priceless Specials” program.
Subsequently, Rasul Hashimov, Head of the Fund's Project Management Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the implementation mechanism and functional capabilities of the “TəhsilPlus” card. Corporate partners participating in the event were called upon to join the project, and it was noted that their support would contribute to further expanding the opportunities created for education workers.
Within the framework of the event, cooperation documents were signed between the Education Development Fund and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, the State Agency for Vocational Education, and the State Agency for Science and Higher Education. The signed documents serve to ensure the application of the “TəhsilPlus” card at all levels of education.
Finally, “TəhsilPlus” cards were presented to teachers who achieved high results in certification exams and distinguished themselves through their activities. Teachers from general education institutions operating under the Baku City and Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department for various subjects became the first users of the card.
It should be noted that a total of approximately 450,000 pedagogical and administrative staff working at all levels of education will gain access to use the “TəhsilPlus” card.
