For the 2025–2026 academic year, 81.7 percent of the student admission plan to higher education institutions at the master's level has been fulfilled.

Aztəhsil.az reports that this information is reflected in the report of the Cabinet of Ministers on its activities in 2025.

It was reported that for the 2025–2026 academic year, the student admission plan for higher education institutions at the master's level, including those under the Ministry of Science and Education, other ministries, committees, and organizations, as well as private higher education institutions, was set at 17,558 places.

During the reporting period, at the master's level, 14,335 people were admitted to higher education institutions out of 17,558 planned places, which indicates that 81.7 percent of the planned target was actually achieved.

At the same time, in the 2025–2026 academic year, 7,094 people (40.4 percent) at the master's level gained the right to study based on state order.

It was noted that an upward trend has been observed in the last 5 years in terms of actual student admission at the master's level. Specifically, the actual admission, which was 10,484 people in the 2021–2022 academic year, reached 14,335 people in the 2025–2026 academic year, which represents an increase of 3,851 people or approximately 37 percent.
