“Healthy generation – bright future” project's implementation has commenced

The implementation of the project “Healthy Generation – Bright Future” has commenced by the Baku City Education Department with the participation of students from grades V–XI of general education institutions. The project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among schoolchildren and keep them away from harmful habits.

It was reported to Aztəhsil.az by the Education Department that the main goal of the project is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the enlightenment of youth regarding harmful habits, increasing the popularity of sports among students, as well as introducing our country's athletes.

Within the framework of the project, competitions and tournaments in various sports, flash mobs with physical education teachers, art exhibitions dedicated to combating harmful habits and sports, the Baku Sports Festival, and round tables and discussions on the topic “Say No to Harmful Habits!” are planned in general education institutions.

At the same time, within the framework of the project, meetings will be organized with alumni athletes who have achieved success in various sports, and educational video clips about the history of national sports will be shown.

Furthermore, the organization of festivals in various sports disciplines, and the organization of educational meetings to inform students about the sports achievements of other countries within the OCEP project are planned.

Also, in general education institutions, educational events related to healthy lifestyle and healthy nutrition, meetings on the topic “Let's Learn the Truth About Drugs” and dedicated to combating other harmful habits, and the organization of seminar-trainings for teachers, children's union leaders, and members of the school-parent community on the topic “The Harm of Psychotropic Substances to Human Health” are planned.

Within the framework of the project, the identification of students belonging to the risk group, conducting educational work against harmful habits among students who may be included in the risk group due to their psychological-emotional state, and taking into account the important role of parent-child relationships in the social-emotional development of children, the organization of educational seminars for parents is also planned.

Furthermore, within the framework of the project, educational skits performed by students will be showcased, booklets, artworks, presentations, video clips, and posters will be prepared, information will be shared on social networks, and a series of events related to special days concerning the fight against harmful habits and sports will be held.
