“In the last 2 years, Azerbaijani schoolchildren have successfully participated in the international project competition held in the USA. In that competition, where more than 2,000 projects from over 100 countries were presented, Azerbaijani schoolchildren achieve success and wave the Azerbaijani flag there”.
Aztəhsil.az reports that these remarks were made by Fuad Garayev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Education, in a statement to journalists after the official opening ceremony of the XV Republican Project Competition "Scientists of Tomorrow".
He stated that these types of competitions increase children's interest in science: “Such competitions create a bridge between general education and higher education. Students get the opportunity to meet with scientists and professors from their school years and discuss various issues. These platforms create broad opportunities for students distinguished by their knowledge, skills, and diligence to showcase and present themselves”.
The Deputy Director noted that this year, students are presenting their projects in 9 different areas — such as robotics and artificial intelligence, environmental protection, medicine and health, engineering, physics, mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, and biology.
