Aztəhsil.az reports that this was stated by Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, at the official opening ceremony of the national final stage of the “Scientists of Tomorrow” XV Republican Project Competition.
The Deputy Minister stated that in the modern era, projects must be innovative, and ideas must be transformed into innovation:
“The main goal is to cultivate successful and entrepreneurial business people in the future. Our aim is for graduates not only to be diploma holders but also to develop into leaders capable of establishing their own businesses and possessing leadership skills. Universities should not be limited to providing only theoretical knowledge.
The education system must be structured in such a way that graduates possess a business mindset, an innovative perspective, and practical skills. An innovative university vision, development strategy, and modern outlook are highly valuable. However, the main issue is not for ideas to remain on paper, but for them to be transformed into real innovation.
True success is when a university graduate creates new value, brings economic benefit, and contributes to society. The experience of developed countries shows that strong states are formed precisely by building creative and innovative societies. In this century, the main key to development is innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative thinking.
Developed countries have reached this stage precisely by forming an innovation society. Currently, states developing modern technologies are at the fifth level of the technological system. The sixth stage is predicted to cover the years 2035-2045. It is difficult to say exactly what innovations will occur during that period. However, countries like the USA, China, and South Korea are already approaching this system, and the process is mainly built on artificial intelligence”.
He noted that the main direction of the future is related to unmanned, robotic systems and artificial intelligence technologies:
“Currently, over 4 million robots are operating worldwide, with the highest indicator in South Korea. The world is rapidly advancing in this direction. Artificial intelligence is a positive tool that shows people the right path. However, to get the correct results from it, it is important to ask the right question. Because the right question forms the basis of the right answer”.
Firudin Gurbanov stated that in the future, programs and specializations related to artificial intelligence will be included in the education system.
